Agility Prep School for Strong Foundations

Build a strong bond with your dog through teamwork, basic obedience, and essential skills for dog sports. Learn training methods such as shaping, luring, and capturing, as well as off-leash skills like forward focus and circle work. This class prepares you for entry into Agility 1.

Level 1

Introduce your dog to agility equipment, such as jumps, tunnels, and tables, while developing essential handling skills. Learn 2-on-2-off contact training and begin shaping weave poles. This class is perfect for dogs with skills from Agility Prep School or equivalent experience.

Level 2

Build on your foundation skills with jumps, tunnels, and tables, and add the dog walk, A-frame, teeter, and weave poles. This class can be repeated until you and your dog are confident in all equipment and handling skills. Regular practice at home will help you keep pace with the class.

Level 3

Take your agility skills to the next level by learning more advanced handling techniques and improving your ability to navigate longer sequences and short courses. Develop skills such as front crosses, blind crosses, rear crosses, backsides, serpentines, threadles, and distance handling while building confidence on 8–16 obstacle sequences. This class also continues to strengthen weave pole and teeter performance, preparing you and your dog for more challenging courses.
